Artifacts

The deepest secrets of the universe are encapsulated in Artifacts. These mysterious items are remnants of ancient civilizations, providing immense, passive powers to the empires that control them.

Where to find Artifacts

Artifacts are incredibly rare and cannot be constructed or researched. They are discovered through exploration and combat:

Asteroid Mining: There is a chance to dig up an artifact during a peaceful Asteroid mining cycle. The drop chance scales linearly based on the hours spent mining.
Epic Battles: Winning an enormous naval combat (PvP or PvE) often leaves behind wreckage that might conceal an intact artifact.
Expeditions: Dispatching an Expedition fleet into deep space occasionally yields these treasures.

Using Artifacts

Once obtained, an artifact remains in your Empire's Inventory in the IDLE state. You can equip them into specific slots via the Artifact Vault. Once explicitly activated (moved to ACTIVE state), their powerful, universe-altering bonuses take effect.

Artifact Properties & Scale

Depending on their Bonus Type and Rarity, an artifact might massively increase your fleet's attack damage (Combat bonuses), drastically decrease building costs (Economy bonuses), speed up research operations, or heighten your mining base yields across the entire empire simultaneously.
